Take a Deep Breath

Oh how I wish I could take a deep breath. For the past week I have felt short of breath which isn't something new for me. Before I became pregnant with my last child 3 years ago I had this shortness of breath problem. Then when I became pregnant it went away....now it's back again. Part of me thinks it maybe hormone related but it's now spring it could be allergies (which I've never had) triggering it. I don't know what to do. We do not have health insurance coverage at this time and having been to the doctors about this before I never was given an answer only expensive tests that showed nothing.
I just took a Zyrtec hoping if it is triggered by an allergy it might help. I would be grateful for prayers.

Thank you and have a blessed weekend!

Do you have tummy problems? Acid reflux, gas, ulcers...all can cause shortness of breath. Sometimes pregnancy can make tummy problems worse but sometimes it makes them better. Try some Tums or GasX
Don't mess around with breathing issues....money or not.
I will be praying for you!

Praying for you honey, it could be a lot of crazy things. I always get short of breath when pregnant...so sometimes I think hormones can cause it.

Don't worry! God knows what it is and he will help you!

Many Blessings :)

Thank you both for praying.
I have been to doctors many times (when we had insurance) Many tests done...but no answers or help. Thankful the problem disappeared when I became pregnant with my youngest child almost 4 years ago.
My daughter is so close to being weaned from nursing(she nurses about once a day...she's a professional nurser at 3...she won't give it up with out a fight LOL! : ) I think those hormones that support nursing are diminishing. When pregnant and nursing I didn't have this breathing problem. I can't help but think it's some how related to hormones.

I'm so frustrated right now ...just wanting some direction/guidance and relief.

Hi,

I just got back from my trip late last night and was upset to read this. How are you feeling now? I hope the Zyrtec helped. I will be praying for you. Please let me know how you are feeling.
On a side note, I had my OB appt today (glucose test) and took my kids with me. They did great! You actually inspired and helped me to do it with confidence. I look forward to taking them with me to the rest of my appointments. They acutally enjoyed the process and hearing their baby sister's heartbeat. It was so neat.

I do hope you are feeling better now that you've taken something for the shortness of breath.

This may sound nuts, but my mom has a friend who goes to her local healthfood store when she has something that concerns her or is not feeling well. They usually steer her in the right direction. Just a thought.

Praying for you my friend!

Hello there! I found your blog through Anneatheart's blog, hope you don't mind me dropping in.

Every time my iron levels drop too low, I get short of breath. I do have cronic anemia, but I thought I would just throw that out there for you. It's easy to fix with an iron supplement taken along with vitamin C and B12. I will keep you in my prayers!

Have you had your red blood count checked? Sometimes a low red blood count/ lack of iron can cause this.I got dx'd with it two months ago and my doctor started me on Floradix liquid iron and yellow dock tincture--both available in the health food store. Also, eathing lots of leafy greens and red meat--rare is recommended. HOpe this helps!
